Okay say i got a phone for 30 dollars a month when i walk into the shop, do i just pay 30 dollars every month or i have to pay the phone price say 500 dollars then 30 bucks a month?

It depends what plan you get but they will tell you, but most plans the phone comes free with the plan OR the phone only costs a little with the plan.
